I have a 2001 A4 1.8T CVT transmission. My transmission was just rebuilt and when it was put back in the shift indicator is not working correctly. It will show R N D but after you press the pedal the indication goes blank and the transmission doesn't know where it is either, you have to turn of the key/power to reset. The small control board just under the shift plate was replaced but it is doing the same thing. Also when I put it in D it clunks in, not smooth at all. Do I need to do something like relearn the transmission? Adaption?
