Shocks are gone
So heres my situation, I put on H&R race springs a few months ago and the I loved everything about it, my shocks obviously did not like this very much though because even though my ride was only a little stiffer the first couple months, its terrible now.
My problem is that I need to replace them but I missed out on ecs's sale and I'm really strapped for cash right now. My biggest thing is that i would like to keep the race springs because I love the handling of them. But at the same time I'm starting to catch the low bug and wheel gap is starting to annoy me..
SO heres my question...
Should i tough it out and wait to buy coilovers (and if possible does anyone know which would ride most like the h&r race springs, besides h&r)
Get shocks that have adjustable perches
Get some higher shocks such as bilsteins and keep my springs
Keep in mind that cash is an issue and performance/handling is my biggest factor

get some decent shocks, since you've recently replaced your springs, you already know you'll need to compress the springs again, if you are looking for same ride/height, just get some decent name brand stock shocks, replace your old ones soon, before your old ones cause you more PROBLEMOS...

you do realize jsut about everyone is going to vote for coilovers lol
but on a side note.. go with what u can afford... obviously stock shocks are cheapest but getting some good aftermarket shocks will last longer... so do what u think is best for ur car, not necessarily ur wallet

Aftermarket STRUTS don't last longer than stock. I've seen stock audi 80's with 500,000 on it still rockin the stock struts, i've also seen H&R coilovers with blown struts after 10,000 miles, so........
I actually vote for aftermarket struts that are designed for a lowered car, don't expect them to last more than 50k though.
