Ive got a 1998.5 1.8TQM and i need to order some parts, mainly cosmetic. Now many parts have the options of buying them up to 98' and then 99' and up... since in europe this 1998.5 would just be a 1999 since they release their cars at the right time over there would mine use 99' parts? or am i using 98 parts? or was there a difference between all three, the 98', 98.5', and 99'+???
I know I just made that simple question look hella confusing hah.

 

Why don't you tell us which parts you're looking to buy and we can tell you if it even matters? The fenders, headlights, and taillights are different and so is the hood (washer nozzle location), but most parts are universal.

 

i need a front lip or whole bumper, rear valence or whole bumper, eyelids, instrument cluster, etc
its a 1998.5, sites like TM Tuning (from what I understand is the best priced body parts place) says things like
RS4 look rear bumper spoiler, ABS, A4 B5 99+
RS4 look rear bumper spoiler, ABS, A4 B5 -99
and searching for a cluster i find listings that say for 99-02 and such.
