Default Some questions.....any imo appreciated

ok so my car has 157 miles and have always changed oil at 3-4k miles, but this time i kinda had a internal miscalculation and actually changed it @ 5.5k miles, and the oil came out looking almost like gear oil. So i just wanna know what is the best way to flush out the motor with damaging my beautiful quite 1.8t atw? will the seafoam treatment do it? im looking to change my oil again in 1k miles, should i do teh seafoam treatment now and change it @ 1k, or do it closer to the 1k interval?

Also issue #2: I'm keep getting the same CEL (forgot the #, but i knwo the description is something like system too lean) and i know after searching when I had the trouble code # most of the results included vacuum leak as a possible culprit. I have this specific hose that has a 1" crack on it: (hope you can see it, its the "L" shaped one right near under the intake mani that had electrical tape running around it, my little quick fix )

Thats the hose. And if you have a leak in it, the cel will go on, and say you are running lean when it becomes a boost leak.

I had the one right above that go and had the same problem. I was too lazy to buy a new one so I used jb weld and duct tape. But don't follow my example and get that hose. Shouldn't take that long to put it on.

Just wanted to bump up and get some opinions on my first question regarding the motor flush.....is this advisable? if so how? What would be the best way? Can over the counter stuff like "Restore 4 cylinder" formula safe for our 1.8t? or any other brand for that matter? What do you audi tech say????

IMO if you were running synthetic you really don't need to worry about the 5500 miles. You said it came out as gear oil well it doesn't really matter what it may look like as long as there is no metal shavings making a rainbow in the oil container you emptied into. Get some good synthetic maybe a thicker weight and run that.. I have heard bad things about the seafoam. My car is 175k been running 20 pounds since 64k daily driven oil changed every 45 to 5. Oil isn't normally what wears out it's the filter
