Default Start a repair on one thing and another pops up....

Well I finally got around to getting my new control arms, springs and shocks in. Everything is out of the car (whoever suggested taking the whole assembly out, is a genius.......sooooo much easier working on everything). Problem now is I come to find out the driver's side wheel bearing is starting to go to the dark side.

My buddy has a press and we were able to get I believe half the bearing assembly out, but we are having some issue getting the other half out (I wish I had taken photos of the damn thing so I can show it) Any suggestions on how to get the other bit out? I'd hate to take the knuckle to a shop and have them take the old out and press in the new, but if I have to, then I must.

It comes out on the wheel side of the knuckle and it takes ALOT of force to get it out. Just use the press, make sure you're inside of the bearing stop ring (it's the ring that is attached to the knuckle that the new bearing seats against) and push like a ****.

And I believe I was the one that told you to take the whole assembly out
Hopefully you maked the nut position before you took the arm out, or you will need to get an alignment.

taking the whole kit and kaboodle out at once is definitely the way to go on this job. It was actually enjoyable. had to cut the bolt between the two pinch points and drill the center section out (RIP pinch bolt).

We should finish up tomorrow, should be easier now that I know how to get the rest of that bearing out. I appreciate it. I will continue to preach your wisdom of removing the whole knuckle and working on it properly in a shop.

Well this car never ceases to amaze me. Nothing but trouble on day two. Finished day one needing to find the correct front wheel bearings and as of today I hope I have ordered the correct ones...........

Figured I would start on the rear suspension......no sweat on the removal, but as I'm working on the removal, my buddy is re-assembling the front spring/shock combo and the spring compressor ***** the bed. Nodoby hurt but now I can't do the three that are remaining.

Well it's off to the shop down the street to get the new springs and shocks together. $78, meh, I'll pay it only to not be bothered with it.

And now the kicker, the rear rotors I ordered thinking they are the correct ones. WRONG. Well like they say, when it rains it pours. Serves me right to try and get all this **** done in one weekend. My complaining is done, I have to be done with my car by tomorrow or I swear my wife will leave me......

Hope to have photos tomorrow night once everything is all said and done....I hope I hope I hope.......
