Starting problem after fill up
After the last 2 fuel stops the car has not wanted to start. It will crank and crank and than finaly start and run like crap for a minute. It only has done this setting at the gas pump after a fill up never any other time. Fuel Pump issue?
Hard to say but I've seen this posted a few times. I'm not sure if anyone has diagnosed the reason, but searching for this may yield some more info. It's been discussed but I don't know if there was ever a solution.
This is a problem with the fuel vapor recirculation circuit.
Two possibilities cause this.
Take off the plastic cover that sits on top of the air filter box.
Behind the box is a set of hoses and some grey and black one way check vavles,
Check that the valve has had a hole rubbed in it by the metal clip that sits right in front of it.
The usual cause is the black electrical valve that sits right behind the air filter box. It will have several hoses and an electrical connection. The valve often gets clogged with charcoal particles from the vapor collection canister. Replacing the valve is a 10 minute DIY and the part, as I recall is about 50 dollars.
Guaranteed to fix the problem. Fixed the problem on my car, and on several other members over the year.
