Default Sticky console, climate control, stereo - any way to fix?

so we are all gracefully plagued with the wonderful cup holder that everyone is guilty of placing a container in it that doenst have a screw on cap/lid. anyways, gonna cut to the chase. i have a couple sticky buttons and its a real pain in teh butt. is there any way to individually clean all of the buttons or the unit itself? i armorall my interior every so often but none of it ever gets deep into the cracks of the buttons.

any ideas to clean the stickiness out?

well i sprayed windex in, on, and around the buttons and just kept repeatedly pushing them until the sticky soda that was spilled worked its way out... best idea? probably not but the buttons at least work now...

i had the same prob with my climate control, so i removed it from the car and took the whole unit apart. it has the smallest f!@#ing torx screws ( i think it was a T3). from that point i put it in screaming hot water and a bit of super clean. its not a job for the faint of heart. i would NEVER spray anything into it, it is electronic after all. all said and done, it was about a 45 minute affair.
