Yes you can - it's been done quite a few times.

Yes you can. Im in the process of gathering the parts needed for this right now. Just waiting for them to be shipped.

You need to find yourself a double DIN cage, and a climate control from 00-01 cars that already had the double DIN cage.

When spring hits, I will ATTEMPT to install this myself and post up a DIY. If not, im just gonna hire a shop to do it for me.
Its gonna require you to remove the whole center console.

Well I have a 1999 pre facelift a4 and I just got the center console out of a 2000 a4. When installing the newer console in my a4, I noticed the harnesses in my car for the foglights, rear foglights and harzard switch are completely different to the new style buttons. I have the new style connectors as well and compared them to the wiring on my car. The color codes are almost the same. However the hazard switch has 9 wires on the new style and only 7 on the old style. How do you wire this up? Just leave the other wires not connected?
