swap in the 2.7t?
I live in WV which is about 5 hours away from Baltimore. I think I am going to stick with the 1.8t and go with my K04 that I already have as I am pretty sure I can knock out 270awhp with it which should make for a fun setup. I have a vast selection of turbos as I am machinist and for awhile when the economy went to the crapper I was rebuilding them (properly with having them balanced appropiatly) and selling them which is why I know turbos in and out.
AFter the K04 I plan on going with the 6758EFR and a built bottom end and aiming for 400awhp if the drivetrain will hold up.
Some other turbos that I have been considering for a budget conscious build is a TD04 19T (250awhp), TD05 small and large 16G (small for 300awhp and large for 350awhp), TD05 18G (400awhp), T3T4 50 trim (360awhp), 57 trim (400awhp), and I also have a precision SC6256 with ported cover and I should be able to make north of 550awhp with it but it would not be very daily drivable. I also have T3T4 46 trim which should be awesome when used with a stage 2 turbine. 320awhp plus pretty good spool should be pretty easy.
I am just not as knowledgable with the 1.8t as I am with other motors and what can they make as well as their strengths and weaknesses. I am liking the 2.0 setup with the cast crank and forged bits plus ARP hardware and coated bearings. Kevlar timing belt and refresh the motor.

Not on this forum that I'm aware of, but there's plenty in the B5 tech forum on the 'Zine. Closest thing I know of here would be the 1.8T turbo upgrade info thread in the FAQ sticky.
