They'll have to be welded down anyways.
Alright, thanks for the info. By mounts do you mean where the seat attaches to the body of the car, or where the motor for the power seat is placed? When I swapped out seats in one of my previous cars, they were just bolted to the floor. Is there extra wiring needed for the power seat motor also?

the mounts to the body are different. The power uses two rail on each side of the seat and the manual has one rail right in the middle. To mount power in a manual your going to have to cut the manual mount that sticks up off the car. Then your going to have to weld a nut in the floor to thred a bolt into.

not positive but i think as long as you have power lumbar the s4 seat harness plugs into the a4 harness for delivering power. there are three (possible, if heated )connections on the s4 seat. the power will hook up to the power on your a4 if you have power lumbar, the airbag hooks right up, and the heated seat plugs right up to the stock a4 plugs. if you dont have power lumbar and/or heated seats, youll need to wire that up if you want the function. if you dont have power lumbar youll have to bring power in in order to adjust the seat. as for welding the nut down, whats wrong with just tightening it under the floor?
