Throttle body reseting question
So I read through the stickes and some diy stuff about reseating my throttle body. For the most part I think I got it down. Disconnet the battery for 10 minutes, hook it back up, turn the car on(not over) and let the throttle body reset(about thirty minutes). Has anyone done this?? Any extra tips that are important?

That's all there is to it, but you're looking at 30 seconds, not 30 minutes. Open the hood before you turn the car on and if you go over by the engine you'll hear it humming. When it stops, the TB is set. Make sure you have your radio code if applicable.
Well I havent got myself a vagcom yet, but I do have my radio code. Last owner got it and passed it along. I should probably not keep it in my glove box, but I am not worried about getting it stolen.
Ok,, so I reset my TB today.... But here is the thing, idles just fine. Hit a slight rev or just get my rpms up at all and when the rpms come back down they fall so low that the engine shudders then recovers. ??? Weird??
Nope, it's normal. When you disconnected the battery, the caps in the ECU discharged and the ECU is in relearn mode. It's gotta get its figurative head out of its *** and relearn how to control the engine. It'll do that for a little while - some guys say 20 minutes is all it takes, and for others (like me) the car must have Down's Syndrome. Mine takes almost a week to fully clean up its act. That is normal though, and you'll probably have it stall a couple times, but it'll go away.
