Default throwing a code - P0303

Hi guys,
Last night I was leaving a parking lot and my car started to hesitate about 15 seconds after backing up. There was less power and then the check engine light started flashing and then remained on. I was able to drive it to work and then when I drove home, the check engine light was out, but the car drove fine. I pulled the code yesterday, reset it and drove to work again with no problems. Then on the way home, the same thing happened all over again but this morning, the car drove fine. Any ideas....spark plug, coil pack or could it be fuel injectors?

I had two coilpacks die with similar symptoms. I replaced all four just for *****-n-giggles.

flashing CEL indicates a misfire, what did the code that you pulled have to say? Have you gotten your recalled coilpacks yet?

Coilpacks, sparkplugs, possibly MAF, coilpack connector broken...could be a couple things. Start cheap. Swap your coilpack from cylinder 3 with cylinder 2 and see if the misfire code follows. If you get a p0302 code, then chances are your coilpack is giving out and should be replaced.

recalled coil packs?? i didn't know they were recalled. the code said anything from a dirty fuel injector to a bad coil pack. i'll try moving the coil pack around but how do i find out if i'm eligible for the coil pack recall??

^^That. The dealership should be able to tell either by looking at the coil packs or by running your VIN. Its free and they keep new updated coil packs on hand, so getting them swapped shouldn't take but 15 minutes.

Might as well call the dealership before you do anything else. If you're due 4 new coil packs anyway, you won't have to do **** but spend a few minutes on the phone
