I would definitely go with the 5 speed swap, Papa_Dios was a huge help when I did mine and one of my main reasons for doing it was that it can hold so much more power than the auto tranny, and theres no cheap way to build our auto tranny's

 

^^100% correct if you are thinking of making decent power the tip will eventually fail on you. Meloman did the swap also and he has also has a thread/timeline check it out and see if it's something you are willing to do. Honestly it isn't hard just a bunch of stupid little things will pop up on you but overall not bad.
