tiptronic vs 5 speed manual

In that case, yeah I'd just hold out for a 5 spd. In the event that you do end up wanting to modify the motor for power, you can throw a stage 3 or 4 clutch into the stock 5 spd and be good to go for 3 or 4 hundred HP. The torque converter in the tiptronic wouldn't survive that

Or you have an sequential or semi-automatic transmission and combine the best of both worlds. (ex. DSG)

anyway, you should wait out till you find a manual. I use tip 'cause im a wanna be manual. Sometimes I pretend im pushing down on the clutch when changing gears. Really fun.
