Torn C/V Boots. Expensive problems?
While working under my car I noticed that my left outside C/V boot was torn to where I could see part of the assembly itself. My right outside one was torn as well, but only slightly.
Is this going to be an expensive fix, even if there's nothing wrong with the C/V joints themselves? or should I go ahead and replace the joints anyway, seeing how they have over 122,000 miles on them?
I also wanted to (when I have the money, not any time soon) upgrade my suspension. New springs, struts, and any other components that would likely wear out within the next couple of years. Could I save some labor costs by doing this in conjunction with the C/V joint replacement?

the boots themselves are cheap - $20 or so. it's not that bad of a DIY:

as far as replacing the whole halfaxle - when i replaced two of my CV boots, one of my halfaxle ends was pretty cracked so i had to replace it.. just depends on their condition really.
