Tranny ?
On a B5 1.8T A4. When the clutch is disengaged (not pressed down) I am hearing a chattering noise coming from the tranny. The sound goes away when I press the clutch in. Any suggestions?

uh, the TOB...
Usually a symptom of a bad TOB is that the noise diminishes when the clutch is depressed.
Either way, you're not going in there and only replacing a TOB. Buy a clutch kit and pull the trans if it's bothering you.
