I am ready to start a big overhoul on my 99 2.8 A4
Got the parts and will do it my self.
Have even new bearing going on it.
Any one has ever done such job, any words of advise...

Lol I drive a tiptronic, as well as some of the other well known people on this board. Id take a manual over auto anyday of the week, but just because I drive a slushbox doesn't mean I am any less capable at doing my own work.

To your new project your starting, you may have a bit of trouble on the pinch bolts, so definitely pay PB blaster all over the bolts the day before you start. A breaker bar will come in handy, and just make sure to torque everything to spec and you will be fine
