ah ha thank you sldet I think you've solved the mystery, thank you, I was wondering why only half of the tank leaked out I can see the bottom of the reservoir because I bought it without a valence (how do you lose that thing? lol) well I think ill do the same, headlight washers are too classy for me anyway

RTV is a type of liquid gasket. It comes in a tube like toothpaste, and you apply it where you need a gasket or a hole filled, and when it sets up it is a solidified, but flexible rubber, like any other gasket. You can buy it at autozone for less than 5 bucks
