Ok so last night I was reversing up a pretty steep hill and it popped out of reverse, anybody have any ideas on what it could be? And its a automatic

 

Check the linkage to the manual valve. It may be bent, worn, or out of adjustment. Does it pop out of any other gear?

Does the car ever clunk if you suddenly let off the throttle? Check your motor mounts for excessive play if so.
