trubo only pushing 5psi
It does vary from car to car, I would do a boost leak check and go from there.
Every car is going to be different. A car with lower compression is going to produce less inHG readings at idle. As you go up in elevation the reading will get lower. Larger cams are going to have a lower reading.
ok update when i was on my way to work down the 605 fwy i was testing the car and after a while of staying on the medal the neddle hit 5 spsi and did not budge from thre other than that the car only shows 3-4 psi
i made a home made boost leak test tool cost me like 2 bucks and also sprayed soap water on the hoses and clamps and no leaking air.
i removed the diverter valve pinched the nipple on the top and pushed up on the piston, it was stiff but still pushed up
checked around the TB to see if there where any little holes and sprayed soap water
checked all the clamps to head or see any leak also sprayed soap water
So, you don't have a CEL? Limp mode is usually caused by incorrect vacuum from somewhere and the CEL usually turns on eventually in this situation. Double check the lines from going to the DV and the FPR or just replace all your vac lines just for peace of mind.
