Wires almost never fail, but otherwise pretty much the same as any car. Spark plugs, oil change, oil/air/cabin filters, rotate tires, balance tire pressures, and not a bad idea to order up 10-12 feet of 3.5mm ID vacuum line from www.siliconehose.com and replace your vacuum lines. Did mine Saturday and it's a noticeable difference. Took maybe 45 minutes to put in new ones.

All of the above plus fuel filter. That is one of the most overlooked filters. Some people never change them until they are plugged which usually means the car wont start or they are stranded on the side of the road. Some people only change them every 80 to 100k miles but I like to do mine every 40k or so. They are cheap and easy to replace so it is just cheap insurance.

^^^agreed. I should've mentioned the fuel filter, especially since last fall my clogged fuel filter caused what I believe to have been too much strain on the pump, burning it out and making me replace my fuel pump. Make sure you get four brass washers with your filter for the banjo bolts - for some reason Audi uses three and the fourth is aluminum, which is a pain to get off there sometimes and can cause corrosion. My replacement filter came with four brass washers - make sure yours does too.
