turbo question

Default turbo question

Ok so I think that I need a new turbo, can i just replace the turbo or is there more I should buy, also I have a GIAC chip and I found a ko3s turbo would that work or would it have to be a ko3?

I would take my money and get a ko4 they are bolt on, just have to buy some intake pluming.

ko3s will bolt right up. It is a little more effiecent than a ko3.

ok will the ko3s turbo work with the chip i have, and the turbo kinda sounds like letting the air out of a bike tire when on the freeway

also seems like the turbo works when it is cooler outside then when gets hotter i have no boost at all, feels like a geo metro? any ideas on what i should do

yes, buy a boost gauge already. The cold are is already denser so it has to work less. The bike pump is either spooling (if accelerating)or and exhaust leak (if you are crusing at a constant speed). Cant help you much if you dont have a gauge

I took it to a shop and he said it was in limp mode because one of the valves of some sort was leaking or air was going in instead of out, does this seem logical?

OK but does anyone have a boost gauge that is on the pillar if so does it look good and where did you get it?

I know the exhaust off the turbo on my car constantly gets loose, making some extra puttering noise.
