Turning 200k and that airplane sound thingy
After digging around a bit I removed the secondary air-pump in hopes to fix it. Because, mainly I am cheap! And it's a beautiful day here in eastern PA so what the f. Anyway, not a really servicable part, at least with my skills / tools. Drilled out rivets, etc. to get at impeller. But there was no removing it to get at what I guess may be bad bearing, etc. but more likely is just worn out plastic bits around the shaft the motor drives.
Well I am going to need a new one and will hopefully scare one up at the junkyard.
Without the pump idle is raised to 1300 for a minute and then acts normal. Read up on its function, interesting.
