Im trying to do the cent. control lock mod with vag but ever time i click it, it pulls up controller not responding?


Im using an aftermarket cable and i can scan my car but that wont work.
anyone have any ideas?

 

try it with the car on. i don't think it needs to be but it doesn't hurt to try. so if it says the controller not responding, you can immediately scan the engine and it'll work or did it used to work for scanning and you tried to the the mod today and it wouldn't let you? let me know if what i said makes sense lol, long day at work today

 

i had to install the drivers for the cord....

I have a similar issue,i bought a OBD2 usb cable for 9.50 shipped from hong kong,came with driver CD,installed the drivers fine,works on some controllers but not all of them.

For example,i was trying to access the controller for the window mod that allows you to close and open the windows with the keyless fob and hack when you reach 15mph,the doors lock automatically and the hack when you take out the key,all the locks unlock and last,the hack when you press unlock once,all the doors unlock,not just the driver side door. and the disable the horn beeping,when you enable the stock alarm.

I can't access this controller,says "controller not responding" I have used 3 types of software. only 2 work out of the 3,meaning i can scan for codes and they actually list 2 codes,that i cannot clear,because of the trial software and buying the full version for 99.00 will not allow me to access the controller,only clear the codes.

I think its a limitation of the actual 3rd party OBD2 cable that i bought,its not a vag-com cable. I think the offical vag-com cable uses a specific protocol to access,particular controllers? correct me if i am wrong,just throwing things out there.

Please,someone give me some insight on this issue,i really want to make my A4 door all the hacks i listed
