so im looking for info on building a 2L with my AEB 20v head.

through my reading i learned that the AZG block has oil squirters and some other cute options. and i learned that the AEB 20v head is considered a large port head vs all the other 20v heads being small ports.

things im running into a problem with, is 1- my hard time at navigating the net for the information. 2- id like to find a build thread so i can learn from someone elses mistakes so i dont make tooo many of my own! ahah.

but to help get the ball rolling i need to find out if the 2L azg block will bolt into my car and bolt up to the transmission without any problems.

as for building the block with forged internals. is no big deal.

the next tricky thing would be to fit the head on the 2L motor, i read that the headgasket has to be modified to work..

and after all that fancy stuff. my intention is to slap a big turbo on it and see what she puts down.

i dont have apower goal in mind, but im happy with anything over 400hp and or tq.

my budget is kind of limitless as ill be picking up parts as i go. and saving up for them too

Glad to hear you're gonna go nuts with it, this should be fun to watch. Not too many build threads on this forum that i'm aware of, but this is the B5 build thread on the zine. As you might guess, about 98% of them are 1.8T builds of some flavor or another. This is the 1.8T section of another forum I frequent. The B5 section is pretty dead, but there's some very knowledgeable guys on there so if you post your questions in the 1.8 forum they'll definitely get answered.

 

hahah well i mean limitless as in ill save for the products! ahha i have another vehicle so i wont be hurting when the audi is off the road. and im going to be looking for deals and so on, its not like im going to go drop 10g's+ but if it comes down to say spending an extra 100$ for something more reliable than another related part ill come up with the extra 100$

 

yeah the last vehicle i went nuts on was myold 1990 honda crx, droped a 2L in that too...

8k later, i sold it for 3500.. i miss it terribly but i sold it to buy a house.. sacrifces.

now i want the b5 to have a 2L
