Output shots from FX-Rs. I still need to tweak the passenger rotation a touch.

^^ Are those the 35w or 55w bulbs? You made me curious about the FX-R's, so I went and looked at their website. Looks like about $325 for a complete bixenon kit.

These are 55W ballasts and bulbs. You don't need the shrouds because they fit in the place of the original projectors. I reused my DDM ballasts and bought the D2S plug adapter, bulbs, and of course the projectors themselves. If you already have ballasts, $200 invested.

I'm going to try and get some non-phone pics this weekend after I adjust the rotation on the one.

If I went with a high-end kit like that, I think I'd probably dump my DDM ballasts and go with theirs. The ballasts can't be all that great in a $40 DDM kit.

As long as the DDM ballasts are still working, the only difference you may notice is the warm up time is slightly longer. The DDMs are supposed to have a "lifetime warranty", but if I have one go out I'll probably just pickup some Morimoto 5Fives.

Order a pair of half shafts for a weekend project to eliminate some pesky clicking in the CV joints.

Half shafts installed. Only took about 3 and a half hours to do both sides, including a trip to Auto Zone to grab a 14mm hex key. Also installed new brake pads with the correct wear sensor, so now one less light on the dash (only have the ABS light now). Anyone with VAG-COM near Richmond, VA?
