What did you do to your B5 today?
Oil Change. Was a pain, first time oil change on this car, and a diesel too. Had to take the skid plate off to get to the drain plug, but after that, it was simple. plug and play. easiest filter replacement ever. and some nice new 5w-40 for TDI vehicles. 251000km(150k miles~) so everything is synthetic now!
Sanded down my Chrome Gear shift selector cover with multiple grit, sandpaper.
Buffed and then polished it,did the same with the Black Gear shift selector bezel, surrounding the Chrome Gear selector cover.
They both look brand new, before the chrome was all scratched up,the black bezel was pealing the rubber coating. The next project is to buy another shift ***,mine looks like ****.

Installed new headlight washer pump (old one was cracked and I've been driving around with a drywall achor screw in its place for years to plug the reservoir, a perfect fit by the way...), and then marvelled at how the headlight washer nozzles came out and gave a solid squirt before retracting again for the first time in the nearly 6 years I've owned the car.
Also replaced the a/c condenser fan - the old one was squealing like a stuck pig. It was so loud and embarrassing that I didn't turn on the a/c until I got out of my neighborhood/parking lot/wherever and onto the freeway. Which was now starting to become a less comfortable option in central TX.
Finally, did an oil change and put in Royal Purple HPS 10W-40 (a change from Mobil 1). It's probably just my imagination, but I could swear the engine was a tad quieter when I started her up again, less valve tick maybe. Will see if there is any sustainable difference.
Next up is new brake fluid, addressing squeaky rear suspension (control arm bushings, presumably, fun!), and those pesky valve cover gaskets.

So a few weeks back I responded to a Craigslist add about a guy selling an oe Audi B5 spoiler for $40. Couldn't resist....I think she looks nice from the rear
Debadged her the same day...
