Today I took it to the dealer for a new clutch, this afternoon they called and said I had more problems (imagine that, the dealer finding more problems) valve cover leak, flex pipe broken, input seal on xmsn and the best part a cracked flywheel. So I told them I will come get the exhaust pipe and fix it myself, when I got there the mechanic had already cut it off and threw it away, so they are going to fix that for free. they replaced the seal for free, i'm going to do the valve cover gasket. He showed me the flywheel (it was still on the car so I know they weren't trying to BS me)It was cracked almost in half. and the clutch was almost worn down to metal. I forgot my phone so no pictures, I'll get some when I pick it up . The total is going to be around 1100€ OUCH!
So Im open for donations to lower it. Thanks. PayPal accepted

How dare you speak of a DIY article but not post it?

Just joking with ya but it really would be a help to the community if you post whatever DIY you completed successfully so others can bookmark it for future reference.

Default Rear inner upper Control Arm Bushings replaced

I just got back from a independent shop,Got both left and right Rear inner upper control arm bushing replaced!

I had a horrible squeaking noise, coming from the driver side rear wheel well.

I had both replaced both, instead of just the driver side,so i don't have to worry about the passenger side following suit, anytime soon.

The driver side just fell out,as it was being removed, hence the reason why that side was making the squeaking noise.

I'm glad its done and the squeaking noise is gone,Audina is quiet once again!

I asked the mechanic if i will see any performance increase and he said no!

I told him i read up on bushings and their application and said they are suppose to be for performance, yet he says i won't see any change in driving experience.

Can anyone give me some advice on if he is speaking the truth on the subject?

He mentioned that its only for cushioning for when the car is bouncing up and down.

I thought that was the springs and shocks job?

I have attached some before and after pictures below for your viewing pleasure.

Pretty sure the control arms hold you're alignment in place.

performance would be coilovers or lowering springs which would reduce body roll when turning/swerving with a car by lowering the center of gravity

it will add performance by not being sloppy, you'll notice a tighter more sound ride but you won't feel much of a difference.
