It's been done before, but very rare compared to other exhaust mods. I love that you're going this route, can't wait to see pics of the finished product!!!

JBJ, that looks fantastic. Jealous for sure

Today I took a 340-mile round trip up past Watertown to buy wheels that I can't use. However, I can use the two good tires on them. Fuzion ZRi 225-40-18s, nearly new. The fact that the wheels are old-school JSpec 5Zigen Copse wheels, which I loved way back in my Z days, made it better. The icing is that I already had a buyer lined up for the wheels. All is good and now I only need one more tire and I can put my summer wheels back on.

This is what I grabbed up. If they were 5x112 and not 5x114.3, they'd be going on my car instead. I know I could use wobble bolts but I'm not a fan of that.

It was a long drive for a net gain of two tires but I practically stole them so believe me it was worth it. Stopped in Syracuse on the way back and killed Tyler's airbag light too - vagcom goes where I go

MY guy did it with what looks like the drywall big hole patches, sorta a fine screen. it seems less tho, if you didn't know audi had headlight covers original you wouldn't know they were covered up.

Up next, in a week, the car will be fully shaved on the outside, side markers, bump trim, lower moulding.... and oddly enough pretty sure this is an original one. the cutout for the exhaust in the rear bumper.
my car is volcano black mica i forgot the paint code off hand but it was only made in the 98 and 99 years I believe. i really wanna get a fender for the car soon though i might get some estimates

I thought about throwing them on the Odyssey (fitment would work), but then I'd need four more 18" tires and I just put a full set of brand new tires on it in April. I'd consider wobbling them but I like my wheels and my buddy's car is still on stock wheels. He's had my back for years so I'm hooking him up.

Just ordered ANOTHER CV axle for my girlfriend's TT. Raxles. Should have done that the first time. Gonna have to eat the $100 core charge because I tossed my old one in the dumpster like an idiot, but I'll get almost all of it back when I return the Chinese one from ECS. Can't wait to give them an earful about this clusterfuck.

That's all for today in "How Not to Buy a CV axle: 101" :-|

Put in trunk, let rest for 6 months or until you get a decent quote for welding it to the car, whichever comes first :P
