Changed the oil in both cars this morning... Currently installing a new coolant flange, waiting for an answer on this: https://www.audiforums.com/forum/b5-...9/what-184995/ before I button everything back up.

Here's to losing an O-Ring inside the engine bay somewhere, spending an hour looking for it, and still not finding it. Nothing like knowing you would have been done with the project by now had it not been for the unavoidable black hole of doom, know as a B5 engine bay.

And of course, it's Saturday, so there's no way I can get a new one until Monday.

Krauto HID came, spent 5 hours straight a junkyard getting a new heart for my beast. Heat index was 115-120

I have a hose clamp and a coolant reservoir mounting screw in mine somewhere

I've been changing mine every 2 years / 20K. Depends how much dust/pollen etc in your area, I guess. Also, the more you run the heat or A/C, the more air runs through it, clogging it up faster. Given the low cost and ease of replacement, I figure there is no good reason to skimp on this one.

turned on my Krauto HID lights for the first time today and could actually see with my lights on, miracle.

Also not b5 related news, but installed e36 front lowering springs and got all the rear taken apart to press new bearings in and put the new springs on. I love working on it compared to the audi and we started the custom built center console, because the stock bits don't sit right without any carpet. Plus that **** weights too much.

Had stock resonator cut out and a new one put in with 2.5 inch piping resonator back to muffler (magnaflow 14816). Sounds perfect. Not to loud unless your at WOT and no highway drone. Will be getting the rest cat back done 2.5 inch after i buy and install FT and manifold (which wont be for a while).
