You should start an update thread Adam and post some pictures! Don't recall seeing any of your car.

My driver-front outer CV joint was leaking grease and making noises... the boot didn't look torn even after I removed the axle. Looked a little cracked but wanted to replace it anyways.

Picked up an Autozone Duralast axle. $65 (not including core) and with a lifetime warranty, I'll take it! Comes with a new axle bolt too. This was a much better option than simply replacing the CV boot, because...

Turns out that driver-front axle was replaced by a PO, with an EMPI axle. Kinda sucks but oh well. Hopefully Autozone will still accept it so I can get my $38 core charge refunded!

It was only $65 for an axle?! Whoa, good deal. Wonder how the quality is though.

They are remanufactured, so not new. Also that $65 doesn't include the $38 core charge.
But regardless, unless they are terrible quality, there is supposed to be a lifetime warranty so theoretically I could keep swapping them out.

Does anyone know of any good engine cleaning products? I just want something to give me that shiney new car look. Looking for something you would spray on a cloth and then wipe onto the different parts in the bay.

You can't go wrong with WD40. You can use it on anything without worry and it works great as a cleaner. I hand cleaned my whole engine with it.

Case in point.
