What did you do to your B5 today?
Done. All 18 bushings on the rear end. I would tell you there were some bad ones on the bottom wishbone. Top wishbones all looked pretty good, did 'em any way. The two at the bottom of the hub carrier were bad on both sides. For example<
The B5 has 195k on it now, is starting to show it's age, and is my daughter's car, who will likely look for something newer in 3 years when she's out of school. At that point it will either be scrapped or turned over to a young extended family member to be driven to destruction. Sweet spot price wise for future vehicles in my immediate family is B6 , maybe B7.
Just ordered a lot of parts to get my Audi on the road again. Clutch Master and few other things....I am going to the junk yard to get a pin for the clutch pedal....fun times but, it will be good to go this weekend. Just hit 171K on the old '98 B5 1.8T
tints and debadged the back save for rings on Monday. glued back on rear passenger door handle my girlfriend managed to separate from the car. spray-on waxed the trunk lid, wiped down all the engine cover plastics. front brake pads next? battery too before the winter..
