My car does this whining noise when I reach 3000rpm. It does it when I am driving and I press the clutch and accelerate to 3000rpm.
The same thing happens even if the car is not in motion, for example if I am a stop and I accelerate.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Pull your turbo and check it for play. Most likely it needs an R&R. I say this because that's the range when the turbo is really starting to get up to speed. I don't think it's an engine bearing or anything because you should hear that at all RPMs.
