Why doesn't my cruise control work?
thread resurrection...
My brother was driving my car last weekend and didn't know how to turn on the high beams and accidentally made the cruise control work. The next morning it was broken again. So I finally pulled the module again and re-wet all the solder joints. And what do you know my cruise control works! (for now) Pathetic that it took me so long given how easy it is to get the module out and that I have soldering irons at work.
Sineo, did you ever replace the brake switch? Is your cruise working now?

On mine I just had to put anti-seize and unattach the lever and work it a little. It was just stuck. Take the cotter pin out from the top of the rod that is attached to throttle and pull off
so that you can freely work it up n down
