Window regulator repair kit?
Have any of you guys used the window regulator repair kits they sell on ebay? they're only 22 bucks vs. 160 for a new regulator. i'm leaning more towards the kit only because this is the third regulator i will have replaced (not all on my current car) and i have a feeling it won't be the last. i'd rather not drop 160 bucks on something that's just going to break again in a few months.
I bought my window regulator off MJM Authohaus for $74, it's a Meyle unit because the $49 one offered on the website is no longer sold by the supplier, so you can save half your money there.
I looked at my broken regulator and noticed that the wire was all bunched up in the spool which caused the window problem. I guess if I had the time and patience I could have probably taken everything apart and fixed it. But for $74 I feel I made a decent decision.
I guess what I'm getting at is, that thing looks like a pain in the *** to disassemble and reassemble. If you have the time and patience, it couldn't hurt right?
