Make sure the battery cables are very tight - I've seen when a cable is not snugged up enough, the car will just click. The cables could appear tight but not be (or you may have corrosion on the cable connector, which baking soda/water/toothbrush will clean). Push the cables on hard and twist them back and forth some to try for better contact - it's worked in the past and is worth a shot.

Could be the starter relay, or fuel pump relay, or maybe the pump itself. It might not be the battery at all.

Dont know if you hvae solved this or not. Even my B5 wouldnt start since yesterday night... Tried all kindsa things, but didnt work... The car would just click away and finally start after, say about 10 minutes. But when i put the gear in Drive mode nad start it, it works,,, I know thats not a good way of doing it, but does anyone have a clue as to why this is happening?

The batteries are good.. so i guess thats out of the picture..

Thanks
Varun
