You said that the only time you can really get it to run right is when your barely pressing on the gas pedal so its def air related and not recognizing the air coming through. Did you check your maf? its a 2000 so its running a map sensor i wonder if that sensor would play any roll in this. Just because you unplug it doesn't necessarily mean it will make the car run. I had my maf going bad for maybe 2 weeks and there wasn't really any noticeable signs besides that exact code your getting and then one day it was running awful and i unplugged it and sure enough it ran way better so i cleaned it and runs now. if it's pulling 20gs on vacuum there should be any problems with that system, check for any kind of leaks all the way from your maf to the throttle body. the loose airbox i don't think would matter considering its before the maf.

ok put the battery back on made sure everything was tight and connected.. and took it for a lil trip down the road, and imedetly after leaving the drive way i felt and noticed a huge diffrence.. its very weird.. cuz now it felt like it was building boost faster and it was holding boost more constant then before and it felt as though it was running a hell of alot better.. and the Air fuel guage was reading IDeal barely ever ran into the red (lean) or Green (rich) as soon as it did it adjusted as it should right back to IDEAL.. so i guess we will see how this goes.. if you guys have any other imput then please post!. thanks again guys!!!

ok so here we go again.. ive got it narrowed down a lil bit.. ok i can reset the ECU and drive it for awhile (say a whole day) come home park it get up in the morning and go to class get in the car after it has sat for quite a few hours and its at night when i get out of class so its a lil cold. i jump in start it up and let it idle and get warm prob about 5-15min (long enough to smoke a cig) and leave now when i left i was (babying it) lol driving like an old man no offence to the older ppl lol.. i kicked into it about lets say 3-4 miles down the road and boost wouldnt break 5 psi but no check engine light (yet) it was obviously in limp mode. and the Air fuel guage was acting a lil funny. so i continued to baby it and doing my best to manually keep the fuel in the IDEAL area (which babying the car does) stoped at the gas station (royal Farms) left the car idleing (instead of shutting it off like i usually do) and got 93 about 7$ worth cuz ima broke *** lol.. got in it and headed home got like a mile down the road and the light came on... so again im lost.. it had been in limp mode since before i left the college.. i just postponed the light from comming on by babying it and not letting it read a Lean reading for to long.. so i dunno guys!! HELP ME!!!!! lol

Is the car chipped?? or did you just up the boost yourself and have you checked everywhere for leaks? you could run a smoke test that seems to work pretty good for people however i have never done it

ok im not trying to sound like a dick.. but for the last time there are no leaks!! no its not chipped its STOCK!!! 100% stock! ive looked and looked for leaks and have found none!. now if someone is 100% positive that its a leak then i will tear apart the front end of the car and look with a magnifying glass for a leak. but im going to go ahead and say there is no leaks. why else would a car run lean?.. can we get some serious ideas going? maybe a check list? something.. i really dont want to drop this god damn car off at AUDI and pay out the *** for them to tell me it was some stupid ******* sensor.. ill sell the god damn car before i take it to AUDI.. there has to be someone on this damn world who has had the same problem and got it solved and knows what the problem is.. im going to assume its prob a common problem.. sorry for sounding so mad.. but jesus ive had the car for what a week? and cant manage to get anyone to figure out what the hell the problem is?.. ive been to AutoZone Advanced ive called AUDI and they told me to let it dry that something prob got wet.. so i drove it got nice and hot let is sit all damn day with the hood up like the guy at AUDI told me to.. and nothing changed.. there has to be something.. where the hell are all you guys that work at AUDI and deal with these stupid *** problems everyday?.... i love the car but i cant deal with this much longer.. ive done everything i can think of..

So, you're saying it's probably a boost leak on your chipped car? I'm just messing. I'm sorry bro, I feel your pain, I really do. Let's try to look at a few options here. Everyone keeps saying air, air, air, but if you're running lean, then that mean 1 of 2 things, too much getting in, OR not enough FUEL getting in. So, the mixture is lean, you reset the ECU, clearing the code, and drive nice. But, it's probably still running lean, and eventually you end up in limp mode to prevent damage (lean burns hotter if I'm not mistaken, which leads to detonation, and bad ju ju). So, what could be causing you to be starved for fuel? Clogged injectors, clogged fuel filter, or fuel pump going out. Just a few idea, hope it gets some wheels turning in someone's head who might be able to give you a better idea...
