02 Audi A4 1.8t problems to start
hello everyone, Im new in the forum and in the audi world too. Im in love with my a4 b6 its one of the sexiest and nicest car a ever own ( recently sold my BMW m3). now my question is:
i changed the crank sensor and camshaft sensor since the CEL was on when i got it.
spark-plugs doesn't have more than 7 days in the car.
since i was changing my crankshaft sensor in the process i notice there was another hole in which the sensor seen to fit but i knew that the crankshaft sensor was located right next to the oil filter. this hole its near the oil filter as well but its really easy to see once you take off the coolant container, the car came with nothing in there so i just reach to see if it matched the sensor and it did. now my car has problems to start it only starts when engine its cold and it takes a lot of tries to get it on when the motor is warm. i need some help any suggestion would be appreciated thank you for your time guys.

Did you put the sensor in the right spot? The other hole you see is an "inspection hole" the bell housing on this car is used in other vehicles which is where they place the crank position sensor.
Usually I think there's supposed to be a plastic plug there but I'm not 100% sure. It might even be left open from the factory.
Either way, make sure you have your crank sensor in the original spot. What were the codes you got?

yeh i followed the wire and replaced it. the codes i got were:
p1296 coolant sensor
p0321 ?
p0011 camshaft
i had one for the distributor problems, i couldn't write it down before i erased it ( Dumba** me)
now my car only cranks and after several attempts when it finally turns on the RPMs go low or high and turns the engine off if i press the gas the car stays normal. what could it be?? oh! and thank you for your time.

i just installed the coolant sensor, and still my car has problems to start up anyone with any ideas? could it be the fuel pump since i got to push the gas when im trying to turn it on or could it be the injector?? what other issues would interfere on the start up?
by the way i installed:
cam sensor
speed sensor
and coolant sensor
anything would help guys im still on doing my research but i cant find nothing with my problems.
