Default Start Problems

I recently have gotten home from having my car sit. I started my car and it would crank over but it wasn't getting fuel pressure. So i took the ecu out and dried it from water and then the car started over.

Since then i let it sit for a week and have got back and now it wont even start or turn.
It has no fuel pressure at the line and the starter does not even engage.
Since then i replaced the ignition switch with no luck, and swapped out the ecu and there was still no change.
I checked if the starter was even getting power to it to confirm whether it was bad, and it was not even getting any power.

I am open to any suggestions currently because i am lost.

I don't know where the starter relay is or else it would have already been checked.

It is not the battery because i put a brand new sear diehard platinum in and it still did not change.
The cables are tight.
I cleaned the grounds from the battery to chassis.
Also the all electronics work perfectly fine, locks alarms interior lighting ect...
But when i try to turn it on, there is no fuel pressure and there is no power going to the starter.

When i turn the key from on to start relay 213 clicks quite loudly and is the only one that does.

The car is a 1997 audi a4 b5 1.8t.

have you checked all the major fuses? if there was water in there its possible something could have shorted and blew a fuse

Ok after tearing apart my entire car i went up and tested the starter and it failed with flying colors. Then i bought one from a german wrecking yard and decided to go and get it tested and soon found that i was sold a bad starter. So finally i decided to buy a starter from autozone and had it tested and it worked! So i installed it after countless hours of pain and she fired right up.

It was weird that the fuel pump wouldn't prime unless the starter worked, but im just glad its fixed.

good to hear you figured it out. there is something weird about the fuel pump not priming sometimes. for some reason, the started actually has to be working. i discovered this when i did my motor build. i wanted my walbro pump to prime, and it wouldnt until i actually hooked the starter back up and cranked the engine
