Update:

Just got water pump / timing belt service . Oil change & filter. Rotors & pads changed. Power steering pump changed , cooling hose flange , and coolant temp sensor. This all cost a lot but now my car feels like when I first got it!
The only problem I had was that my idle kept dropping down at a stop and feeling like the car was going to shut off. Check engine light flashed and then came on steady. I made it to a shop where they checked the code and I had a misfire at cylinder 2. I got a coil so I could get home. I changed that and the car drove fine the rest of the way although the light is still on. I wanted to make sure I can drive to work tomorrow so I took it for a spin for an hour and it was great. This week I will order the Hitachi E's that I have been reading about and change out all the coils.
After that , I will follow the info I learned here and flush the heater core with CLR and see if I can get some heat. Once that's done everything will be fine.
I would really like to thank you all for all the help and support.
It's been great having so many Audi drivers looking out for me and showing me the ropes.

Audi B6 A4 Quattro 1.8T Engine Ignition ES#2561325 Ignition Service Kit - 06C905115M2KT cheaper and works <- i have these for over a year now so far no problems. except get the plug grease stuff.. or coils may be a pain to remove cause they make tight seal around plug.

either coil works fine! if the code stays lit you can always take the car to autozone and have them clear the code for free after you fix the coil. Cheers!
