Hi,

When the car is at low Rpm and accelerating slowly, I can hear knocking noise from the front, sounds like from the driver side, it's not loud but I can hear it clearly when the road is quiet, but the noise goes away when the speed is high(>40mph). And there is no such noise when gear is in neutral or If i don't hit the gas. I just went to a service center, the technician said it is the timing parts of the engine that cause the noise.

Besides, the car is a little vibrating when stopping at a red light, in other words, it's a little vibrating when gear is on and I push the brake.

Does anyone know is there anything other than the timing parts that could cause the knocking problem? And is the vibrating related to anything?

Unfortunately my guess is rod bearing which means big deal! Not stating for sure but that is my opinion. Had same symptoms on a previous car and that's what it ended up being!
