Default 1.8t coolent

I did the timming belt on my 2004 a4 yesterday and the coolent I took out was a brown orange. I flushed out the block and the radiator with water to get most of it out. Is this a problem? Should I be worried about the color of the old coolent?

Are you using oil? The coolant does turn orange on its own after a while. Make sure you replace it with G12 coolant.

Like shane says, is normal for the coolant to turn that color after a while, make sure you replace it with G12 and do not mix coolants.

The car does not use a single drop of oil. The coolent was changed at the dealership somewhere around 40k during one of the services. I replaced the coolent with G12 Thanks fellas
