Friday the car cranked a couple of times before it started, before I left for a business trip, but eventually it started and had no problems. When I got back, it cranked then did not start, then cranked and started. However the clock was reset along with the radio. Today I went out to start the car, the headlights very dim when I hit the unlock button on the keys, and no crank and no start. I tried to jump it, and I got some lights on the dash for a short period of time which soon went out, and car cranked while hooked up to the other car battery, but would not start. WTF is going on?!? Thanks for any help.

 

just tried it again and now i'm getting a bunch of clicking sounds.

The battery is dead. Try with another battery and see what happens
