Default A4 2003 Suction Jet Pump

Recently I have had my computer module replaced, gasket valve replaced, ignition coils, and my catalytic converter replaced. It ran great but not even two weeks later my check engine light turned on again. The one thing I did notice is that it occasionally loses power when stopped at a light or when in park. In addition the car occasionally kicks off when I start it up. Back when I took it to Audi for a diagnostic they said the suction jet pump needed to be replaced. Would this be the possible solution?

I am very much over having this car in the shop and seems no one can determine the cause. I bought this car for the purpose of it's reliability but seems it is just causing me a headache.

Help.

It's a posiblilty. You can usually tell if it needs to be replaced by looking at it. Here it is at ECS Tuning.com

Is this something that can be replaced myself? Would a cracked pump cause it to stall though?

You can buy it and replace it yourself. It's a couple of clamps and your done. A cracked one would cause a myriad of problems.

I'm changing mine in the next few days.

Well I changed the pump and seems my car is still misfiring. As I said before I changed out the coils etc. Looks like I will have to bite the bullet and take it do the dealership for a diagnostic.

I have a question about the suction pump. Can anyone who has replaced one tell me what the proper function is. Specifically, is it supposed to be checked in one direction on both ports or just the straight through passage. This would of course be comparing the new to the old. Thanks.
