A4 Expensive Timing Belt replacement

2003 A4 3.0: had the TB and all auxiliary pieces (t-stat, tensioners, WP, belt, etc) replaced at 85k in March 2011 by my local indie shop. Parts were $525 and labor $585 (shop rate of 7.5 hours). 2003 A6 2.7T: second TB job at 185k in Feb 2011 by same shop: $900 total. I think the shop rate on the 2.7T is 6 hours.
