Yo,

I've got an Audi 2004 A4 1.8T. Since it's started warming up, I've noticed I have no cold air. Also, the econ button won't turn off. I was hoping to fix this myself, and a friend recommended using the R-134a refrigerant. I've searched through some threads here though, and it some of the responses sound like I need to bleed the system first though. I bought the refrigerant, but haven't used it. When I use the supplied test gauge it comes back in the red around 100 psi. I'm afraid to try filling it without some advice. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link. I didn't see that post originally. That sounds exactly like my problem. I guess I'll have to get it in to the shop.

 

Yeah I don't know if is going to be the same problem but your symptoms sound exactly the same. Hopefully you get it fixed. I'm also expecting a lot of these threads coming up here on the summer.
