Advice
Alright Alright, I posted a thread in the a6 section because I was looking at a 98 a6. But I love the a4 b6 series so much, I dont know why but its just got amazing flow to it. I just found a 2003 a4 with 83,000 miles on it. He has a price of 9900. KBB says 9,650? I believe on good condition and it is flawless inside. Anyways I called him he obviously can barely speak english, and I ask about the maintenance. I cant really understand him but he did tell be the timing belt has never been replaced. I forgot to ask about simple things about oil changes, but I just wanted to see what others would pay for the same car? Oh and its been female driven which is always good, well sometimes...
Heres his pictures: http://s829.photobucket.com/albums/zz216/cool_kesi/
Also does any one have a basic list of questions to ask the guy so I can sum up any problems and help me decide a price?
thanks guys.
He has changed the oil every 3000 miles with synthetic oil, has maintenance records on his computer apparently. I got his vin so I need to do a carfax on that in the end. From what I know Id say 7000$ is a fair price coming from the timing belt hasnt been changed and this economy blows

it looks like a good deal for 9900, maybe you can talk him/her down to high 8k's, seven is just not quite realistic, unless there's something majorly wrong 7k would be fine but if it's just the timing belt, mid to high 8 looks alright. At the end remember that is a 6 year old 83K miles car, don't expect anything out of the ordinary, other than driving some of the best engineering and comfort Germany has to offer

Thanks a lot dan for the only and best answer But I think this may be my last time I ask questions? I feel like an *** for asking to much but I just want and would appreciate some opinions specially from advanced audi people.
Alright So I'm looking at two main audis right now. Theres one in New Jersey, and theres one all the way in Kentucky. The one in NJ is hhere So we have a 2002 with 85,000 miles timing belt done, new brakes, new tires, and female driven. We've been talking and it seems like hes really looking to sell it from his tone over emails. My offer would be 8,000$. Now the other one is here
Its a 2003 with 90,000 miles on it. Timing belt, new brakes, new tires. She told me the lowest shell go is 8,500$
So you tell me whats the better deal? I'm also all the way in Rochester, NY so to NJ from me its about 5 or 6 hours. and to KY its like 10 to wherever she is. The only benefit of KY is I have family there and my grandfather recently passed away a month ago so we'd like to visit his wife sometime soon.
Personally Im leaning towards lower miles lower cost in NJ, Thats just me though. Thanks a ton guys

Hi, I have recently joined this forum so please let me know if I have incorrectly posted this response.
Given the choices that you have listed and with all things being equal, I would go with the 2003 since they have the same mileage however the 2003 is one year newer. This of course does not take into account those subjective variables when choosing a vehicle such as color, options and other reasons that make buying a car different for each one of us.
Good luck in your decision process.
