Hi guys, so I just purchased an Audi Cabrio two months ago and the top will no longer fully open. When I push the switch to open the top the windows go down and it unlatches from the windshield and moves about 4 inches from it but then the trunk lid won't open. I can feel the top struggling trying to open but it won't. Once I hit the switch to close the top it locked back into windshield but this is the only movement I get from the top. It'll open and close on it's own from these two positions. I've tried to do a manual reset a few times and no luck. I used my vagcom (don't know how to use) to read the codes and got error 02000 008 signal. I know there can be some adaptions done but not familiar with the process. Also, I started to notice the last few times the top worked that I had to push the button a few times because it would get stuck opening like it does now. Any suggestions on what the problem is? Or what process I can do on VagCom to know what is at fault? Thanks guys!

 

My soft recently stopped working.... when I press the top down switch.. the windows lower halfway. and from that point nothing happens.... the latches don't release and I don't hear the top motor at all. If I hold the top switch long enough I eventually get the flashing top warning on the dash. I have tried the trick of going through a manual cycle to know avail. Does anyone have any other hints??

 

Hello my top opens at windshield & goes back a little . Then back part of top lifts up but the deck lid won’t open. I also tried to unlatch it from the back seat with the emergency key but it won’t unlock. In fact it was to hard to turn that I broke the emergency key & had to order another one. When I try to open with the key the deck lid does lift up a bit but won’t totally unlock & goes back down. Please help!

 

Hey man did you ever find a solution to this? The exact same thing is happening to my A4.
