Default b6 2.5 tdi wont start no noise from fuel pump

hi all i have had nothing but a headache with this car

car will not start unless you use easy start but will not fire on diesel

questions
if it starts and runs after a while on easy start
is there a problem with fuel pump as when she drives she must be drawing fuel or she wouldnt go would she

i was thinking could glow plugs be faulty but would the car run with easy start if that was the case

i have fuel coming from injectors but i have no noise coming from fuel pump at when turning ignition on could it still be faulty pump not allowing car to start even though fuel coming from injectors

any way to test this

also i get heat plug light on then off then after about 15 secs it flashes this is just without the engine be turned is this normal
i do get a brake fault whn turning and not starting

could it be fuses or relays
i had a cooling fan constanly running drainging battery checked under cover where ecu sits and there was water in there
i know 219 relay was corroded but since i cleaned it up i have no fan issues so far
could other relays be broken is there a way to test the pump directly what other relays are under ecu cover that i could check

is there anything else i can check with multi meter etc
also i heard that the edc on the pump goes faulty can i remove this only to check for broken solder joints etc i am capable of such things

please help
