Default Ballpark to replace TB for 03 3.0Q and Catalytic converter issues

Does anyone have a ballpark on what it should cost to replace TB on a 2003 3.0? Also, what should be replaced with TB on this car?

Also, I keep getting a CEL and error code is referencing something related to cat's. My question is: is there a cheaper fix than having to replace cat's? I replaced one oxygen sensor and that seemed to work but the CEL came back with the same error code.

I am not sure on the exact amount labor wise, but parts wise if you replace all the tensioners, roller pulleys, and the belt you are probably looking at around $375.00 for all the parts.

I thought when CEL flashed it meant there is an engine misfire, usually coil pack replacement.

As far as the cats go, how many miles are on the car? I believe if you have 50k or less it is still covered under warranty. There are 3 O2 sensors on this vehicle, so maybe you need to check which bank is faulty.

You can pick up some aftermarket cats for around $500.00 a piece, if they need to be replaced, OE is around $850.00 each,

Thanks for the advice - my CEL comes on solid yellow. I've had the red flashing CEL and it was my coil packs and I've replaced all of them. I replaced one O2 sensor last year but my mechanic tells me it's the cats. The car has 97k so the Fed Cat warranty is done. Thanks for the ballpark estimate on TB too!
Take care,

Timing belt has to be $800.00 max from an indie shop. More than 1.8t cuz the 3.0's labor is a lot more.

3.0L timing belt from a good indy shop $1,400.
3.0L timing belt from the dealer $2,200
3.0L cat converters fetch about $1,000 per cat plus 4.5 hours of installation labor. If you went to the dealer to replace everything (you will for the cats unless the shop has experience with an audi 3.0) you are looking at $4,500.
An indy shop can probably do it for $3,200.

However, if you have an automatic model the entire engine has to be hung with an engine support tool to get the cats out. This also means they have to unbolt the entire subframe which will totally screw up your vehicle's alignment. So if you have the cats done make sure you pay for a 4 wheel alignment after its all said and done, (don't let the dumb *** do the alignment first!!!!!) which will cost you another $200-$250.
